Dr. Herb Loeman
DVM MSc, BSc
Dr. Herb grew up on a small farm in Canada. He graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI and worked for 3 years in a mixed animal practice outside Calgary, Alberta. He always talks about how he did a cesarean section on a cow in minus 40 degrees! Dr. Herb loves all types of animals. He has practiced since 2003 and always says that it feels like he has never worked a day in his life. Dr. Herb especially likes orthopedic surgery and has a soft heart for rescue animals. Dr. Herb enjoys spending time with his partner Raina. They have “Leo”, a rescue dog, who can always be seen riding with Dr. Herb to farm calls and “Zombie” the rescue cat. Dr. Herb and Raina love to travel and explore new places. They love living close to the beach, kayaking, hiking, and biking, all the wonderful things the Florida sun offers.
Patty Runk began her tenure with Atlantic Veterinary Hospital when it opened in May of 2010. During the past eleven years, the opportunity to meet, and work with, so many caring owners and their pets, has been a rewarding experience. As Office Manager, her duties are many, but she manages it all with a smile.
Patty and her husband Don have two daughters, Hallie and Amie, two favorite sons-in-law, Charlie and Keegan, and of course grandson, Alex.
In fact, when she’s not working, chances are she’s involved with horse shows for the First Coast Hunter Jumper Association and brings the whole family along to help out.
